How to delete your Mushaba account

You can permanently delete your account at any time using the following method:

• Open the Mushaba app
• Go to your Profile Menu (next to Logout)
• Tap "Delete Account" (shown in red)
• Confirm your action to proceed with account deletion

After initiating deletion, you will be asked to verify your identity:

• If you logged in using username and password, you will be required to enter your password for confirmation
• If you logged in using Google Sign-In, an OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your registered email for verification

Once verification is completed, your account will be permanently deleted.

What happens when you delete your account

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from Mushaba:

• User profile (name, email, phone number, profile photo)
• All group memberships
• Private and group chat messages
• Voice notes, images, and shared media
• Real-time location history
• Pinned locations and markers
• QR band associations
• Group participation data

What may be retained

Some limited information may be retained for legal, security, or fraud prevention purposes, including:

• Transaction records (for accounting and legal compliance)
• System logs (for security monitoring and abuse prevention)
• Anonymous analytics data (non-identifiable information)

This retained data cannot be used to identify you personally.

Data deletion timeline

• Account deletion is processed immediately after successful verification
• Most data is permanently removed within a short processing period
• Some encrypted backup copies may be retained temporarily before final deletion cycles are completed

Important notes

• Account deletion is permanent and irreversible
• Deleted accounts cannot be recovered
• All group access and communication history will be removed
• You will be logged out from all devices immediately
