Dashboard Monitoring

Web-based dashboard for real-time monitoring of EFI status, alerts, and system health

Technical Implementation

The IoT-based EFI alert system uses sensors connected to EFI devices to monitor their operational status. When an EFI operation is detected, the IoT device sends data to a central server via wireless connectivity (GSM/GPRS or Wi-Fi). The server processes the data, identifies the location and type of operation, and triggers SMS alerts through an SMS gateway API. The system maintains a database of all events with timestamps, locations, and alert status. A web dashboard provides real-time visualization of EFI status across the power grid network. The system can be configured with multiple alert recipients and different alert priorities based on the type of EFI operation.

Impact & Results

The IoT-based EFI message alert system has significantly improved K-Electric DNA's power grid management capabilities. The real-time alert system enables maintenance teams to respond to faults immediately, reducing downtime and improving service reliability. The automated SMS notifications ensure that critical information reaches the right personnel instantly, eliminating delays in manual reporting. The comprehensive event logging provides valuable data for analyzing fault patterns and improving preventive maintenance strategies. This system has enhanced operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by enabling faster fault resolution and better power grid reliability.
